soon, the big brother of the little mars rovers Spirit and Opportunity is going to be sent to Mars. Its name is Curiosity, and unlike the first rovers which were only a few feet tall, this one… is big. And really complicated and expensive. But the way they’re going to try and land something this huge is sort of insane and awesome.

here’s the replicas here on earth, from left to right are the Spirit/Opportunity, then the Pathfinder(Sojourner), and then Curiosity… which is just over 7 feet tall.

Maybe it’s because of Wall-E or this stupid comic that makes me want to cry or the Star Trek episode but I sort of have a spot in my heart for these little guys :c
